A SEXAGENARIAN man was seriously injured when he was hit by a commuter train yesterday morning in Makati City.
Macario Ebreo, 68, of Hagonoy Street, San Andres Bukid, Manila, sustained head and body injuries and was rushed to Makati Medical Center where he was placed under observation.
Philippine National Railways (PNR) spokesperson Jo Geronimo said the train bound for Alabang hit the victim who suddenly crossed the railroad track at the corner of Osmeña Highway and Buendia Avenue in Bgy. San Antonio Village, at around 10:15 a.m.
Geronimo said the train operator used the emergency brakes but it was too late and hit the victim.
