LOCAL officials of the Commission on Election (Comelec) proclaimed incumbent Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez and his running mate Vice Mayor Rico Golez Tuesday evening at the Parañaque Sports Social Hall.
The City Board of Canvasser raised the hands of Mayor Olivarez and Vice Mayor Golez at around 11 p.m. after winning the midterm election.
Olivarez, who is running for his third and last term garnered 169,224 votes against former city mayor Florencio “Jun” Bernabe’s 52.824. Golez, who got 141,43 votes defeated Jeremy Marquez who garnered only 71,229.
Joy Tambunting who bagged the post of representative of the 2nd district of Parañaque was also proclaimed garnering 103.028 votes over 12,144 votes of Pacing Rosal while Eric Olivarez won as representative of 1st district with 74,692 against the 13,743 votes of Jimmy Delos Santos.
