P1M shabu seized, 3 held in Valenzuela, Caloocan buy-busts

MORE than P1 million worth of shabu was seized by District Drug Enforcement Unit of Northern Police District (DDEU-NPD) from three drug suspects in buy-busts conducted in Valenzuela and Caloocan cities.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief P/MGen. Debold Sinas lauded NPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan for the arrest of Anthony Lloyd Molina, 28, of 967 E. De Castro St., Bgy. Malinta, Richie Nevado, 29 and Felizardo Pagia, 33 who both had criminal records.

Molina, who is among the NPD’s Top 10 Drug Personalities was arrested by elements of SDEU led by P/Capt. Ramon Aquiatan, Jr. at around 11:20 p.m. inside his house when he sold P12,000 worth of shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

Police seized from his possession a total of 105 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P714,000 and the marked money consisting of a P1,000 genuine bill and 11 pieces of boodle money.

Ylagan said the arrest of Molina stemmed from an earlier buy-bust conducted by operatives of DDEU at around 7 p.m., in front of a commercial bank along EDSA Monumento Circle, Brgy. 86, Caloocan City that led to the arrest of Nevado and Pagia.

Police said Nevado had a rape case last 2012 but was released after posting bail.

Pagia was arrested last Nov. 2017 for illegal possession of firearm but was given a parole last January 2, 2020. Both of them were included in the NPD’s Top 10 Drug Personalities.

DDEU operatives confiscated from the two more or less 55 grams of shabu with a standard drug price amounting to P374,000, marked money consisting of a P1,000 genuine bill and five pieces of boodle money, a cellular phone and a black motorcycle without license plate number.

Sinas expressed his gratitude to the support given by the public that led to the arrest of Top 10 Drug Personalities and seizure of more or less 160 grams of shabu. He said Team NCRPO will continue to conduct simultaneous operations against drug personalities in Metro Manila.
