AUTHORITIES seized more than P700,000 worth of shabu from four suspected drug personalities, including a woman, during the conduct of “Oplan Galugad” Friday evening in Taguig City.

Taguig police chief P/Col. Alexander Santos identified the arrested suspects as Teresita Albaniel, Alvin Lucio, Franklin Desvarro and Aldrin Ilagan, all of legal age and residents of Barangay Ususan.

Col. Santos said that earlier at around 8 p.m., while elements of Taguig Police Community Precinct (PCP) 6, led by P/CMSgt. Jun Ramirez were conducting Oplan Galugad in Bgy. Ususan, they spotted the four suspects acting suspiciously while waiting for someone in the dimly lit portion of the street.

When the suspects noticed the presence of policemen, they hurriedly left the area and went towards Elephant Street, prompting operatives to follow them until they were cornered in a small alley.

When frisked, the suspects yielded 19 pieces of plastic transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 105 grams with an estimated street value of  P714,000.

Col. Santos said the suspects will be facing charges for violation of R.A. 9165 before the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
