THE Regional and Metropolitan Trial Courts in Pasay city were placed under a 14-day lockdown after two court personnel and a public attorney tested positive during COVID-19 swab testing.
In a memorandum signed by Pasay RTC Executive Judge Divina Gracia Pelino and MeTC Executive Judge Allan Ariola, all judges and court personnel are ordered to go on self-quarantine for 14 days starting yesterday, July 9 to July 22 as a measure to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.
The memo also said that during the quarantine period, all offices of RTC and MeTC courts are closed but the operation shall continue through their respective hotline numbers and judiciary emails.
The courts may also continue to conduct hearings and accept pleadings through electronic filing pursuant to existing circulars issued by the Supreme Court.
Executive judges are still waiting for the result of swab testing conducted to another court worker who interacted with an infected co-worker.
