Suspect caught in the act of extracting tooth.
LIKE most dentist’s patients, the 20-year-old student must have sat uneasily in the dental chair. The young man probably fidgeted as he waited for the specialist who would examine his swollen gums. Then the dentist arrived. To the victim’s surprise, the medical expert didn’t look inside his mouth but touched his sex organ instead.
The gay fake dentist was arrested by Manila Police District-General Assignment and Investigation Section (MPD-GAIS) operatives inside his supposed clinic and is now facing appropriate charges.
The arrested suspect was identified as Rogelio Nario Melgar, of Loyola Street corner Claro M. Recto Avenue in Manila.
PLt. Francisco Cruz said that the victim, a resident of Binondo, Manila, filed a complant against the Melgar last September 17.
Police said verification with the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) confirmed that Melgar is not a dentist.
When arrested, the suspect was caught by police in the act of extracting a tooth from a patient.
Melgar was charged with acts of lasciviousness, unjust vexation and violaion of Republic Act of 9484 or the Dental Code of Ethics for Dentists, Dental Hygienists and Dental Technologists.
