PDEA scores, seize nearly P28-M worth of shabu in Q.C. sting

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency on Friday afternoon arrested

FOUR “high-value targets” in Metro Manila were arrested by the agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency after they conspired to sell four kilograms of shabu worth P27.2 million to an undercover officer Friday afternoon in Quezon City.

PDEA chair Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva identified the arrested suspects as Jinky Arboaldo, Jhon Christopher Guzman, Cristina Burill and Siloren Tubiano.

Villanueva said the four were arrested during a sting at the corner of Cuenco and Biak na Bato Streets in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Q.C.

Members of the PDEA National Capital Region Office and the PDEA Special Enforcement Service conducted the buy-bust operation following weeks of surveillance.

Villanueva said follow-up operations are still underway to arrest the main supplier of the huge volume of ‘poor man’s cocaine’ recovered from the suspects.

All suspects are now being held at the PDEA lock-up facility in Q.C. facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
