Perjury vs woman for fabricated info

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will file a case of perjury against a woman who gave misleading information over an alleged abduction of a 17-day old infant in Brgy. Sta. Monica, Novaliches last June 8.

Report showed that on 10a.m., June 8, Mariel Roque, 25 of Brgy. Graceville, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan reported to Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) under PLtCol. Rossel Cejas  a missing 17-day old infant.

According to her, she was waiting for a ride home in Novaliches Bayan, when an unidentified female approached her and allegedly hypnotized her.

However at about 4:30 p.m., as she gained consciousness she was already in Dasmariñas, Cavite alone and the baby was no longer in her possession and presumed that it was stolen by the unidentified female.

On June 23, at about 1:55 p.m., Roque re-appeared at PS 4 and pleaded to recant her previous signed sworn statement.

During interview, she admitted that she never gave birth and the infant was not her biological child.

Furthermore, she also revealed that she had a miscarriage during her pregnancy but did not inform her husband out of fear.

She also said that the reported incident last June 8, 2019 was all fictitious.
