Police retirees in Manila are seeking the help of President Rodrigo Duterte for the removal of the Deduction Monthly Pension for Loan (DMVAL) of all retired policemen.

The retirees also appealed for the release of their 26th month differential pay and additional pension.

It was learned that the retirees also sought the help of Senators-elect Bong Go and Ronaldo dela Rosa, who was also a former chief of the Philippine National Police.

The retired PNP members who are all members of the PNP Retirees Association, Inc. (PRAI) in Camp Crame also called on the finance department to implement an order from President Duterte to give them a pension increase for the month of January.

Due to the DMVAL, the retirees said they cannot avail of any loan even if they have sick family members, adding that they do not know where to go to for help except government agency loan institutions.
