A suspected drug pusher and five others were caught at a pot session at a suspected drug den during an anti-drug operation conducted by members of San Juan police Sunday night.
A report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Senior Supt. Bernabe Balba by San Juan police chief Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes, identified the drug pusher as Regino Daque, alias Niknok, 36, single, tricycle driver, of 442 Santol St, Bgy. 596, Sta. Mesa, Manila.
Reyes said at 11 p.m., members of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) headed by Senior Insp. Edwin Malabanan transacted with Daque based on information that he was involved in illegal drug peddling activities.
When the suspect was handling transparent plastic sachet of suspected marijuana dried marijuana leaves along G. Reyes St., Bgy. Salapan, he sensed he was transacting with cop, prompting him to run away and entered a house at the area.
As the cops approached the said house, they saw five men sniffing marijuana inside a small room.
They were King Eliote Saren, alias Noy, 22, of 60 Magistado, Arellano St., Sta. Mesa, Manila; Jerry Yacap, alias Jerry, 35, of 6 Catalina St., Bgy. BF Road, Batasan Hills, Quezon City; Vincent Formentera, alias Vincent, 39, of 443 Santol St., Bgy. 586, Sta. Mesa, Manila; Michael Igot, 19, of Block 75 Lot 6, Phase 3, Bgy. Maybankal, Sitio Talaga, Morong, Rizal; and Dexter Victor, 23, welder, of Maybabakal, Sitio Talaga, Morong.
Reyes said, the five suspects had just bought marijuana from Daque and held a pot session inside the house owned by one Joshua Dawit.
According to reports, Daque uses his house as drug den but he was not around when the cops arrived.
Recovered from the suspects were four heat-sealed transparent sachets of dried marijuana leaves and drugs paraphernalia.
Charges for violation of Secs. 5 ((selling), 11 (possession), 13 (paraphernalia) and 14 (pot session and party) of RA 9165 willbe filed against the suspects.
