Pusher flushes P200K drugs down toilet, nabbed

A NEWLY-IDENTIFIED drug pusher flushed into the toilet some P200,000 worth of drugs in order for members of Eastern Police District –District Special Operations Unit (EPD-DSOU) not to recover illegal items during an operation in Pasig City on Thursday.  

However, Major Darwin Guerrero, DSOU chief said they were able to yield P149,000 worth of suspected shabu from suspect identified as Gilbert Ocampo, 42, inside the comfort room of his house at Venancio St. Caliwag. Bgy. Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City at around 4 pm Thursday.

Police accidentally seized the drugs from Ocampo after he tried to dispose the illegal drugs hidden inside the comfort room of his house , according to Guerrero.

The official said, the operation against the suspect was to arrest him for  possession of loose firearm based on information that he was selling illegal firearm.

During his arrest, police recovered a .38 caliber firearm from the suspect,however he begged with the cops to let him use the comfort room due to call of nature.

While inside the CR and locked the door, cops heard water running inside, prompting them to kick the door and saw the suspect flushing illegal drugs into the toilet bowl.

The suspect was able to flush at least 30 grams of illegal drugs worth P200,000.

But the remaining 3 big sachets of suspected shabu worth P149,600 was recovered from suspect’s possession, Guerrero added.

The police revealed based on their verification suspect is a newly-identified drug pusher and had been engaged in illegal drug trade since last year.

He is reportedly using his house as selling point and repacking illegal drugs inside his toilet.

The suspect is now detained and faced charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Drug Acts of 2002
