AUTHORITIES seized more than P2.7 million worth of shabu from a 39-year-old suspected drug pusher who was nabbed during a sting Wednesday before dawn in Navotas city.
The arrest of Crisanto Lazaro, alias “Bong”, of 300 S. Roldan St., Bgy. Tangos was the result of more than a week of surveillance operations conducted by elements of Navotas Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/SSgt. David Santos.
In his report to Northern Police District (NPD) Director P/BGen. Nelson Bondoc, Navotas police chief P/Col. Dexter Ollaging said Lazaro, who was not included in their list of drug pushers, allegedly agreed to sell a plastic sachet of shabu worth P3,000 to an undercover cop at around 12:30 a.m. along Wawa St., Bgy.Tangos South that resulted in his arrest.
When frisked, operatives of SDEU seized from the Lazaro the P3,000 marked money and a total of 405.4 grams of shabu placed in a color maroon belt bag with standard drug price worth P2,756,720.
BGen. Bondoc commended the Navotas police for their successful operation and reiterated that their intensified campaign against illegal drugs will continue despite the pandemic.Publication Source : People's Tonight
