QUEZON City policemen killed the number 6 drug personality of Novaliches Police Station during the implementation of a search warrant on Thursday.
Acting Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Colonel Ronnie Montejo, identified the slain drug personality as Riyad Sunga, 28, resident of No. 267 Saturnina Compound, Bgy. Sauyo, Novaliches.
At about 5:15 p.m., Thursday, personnel of PS 4 implemented search warrant No. 5928 issued by Acting 2nd Vice Executive Judge Ferdinand C. Baylon against Sunga.
During the operation, Sunga sensed the presence of the policemen and instead of heeding a lawful order, he ran and jumped through the window of his house. He pulled out his handgun and fired at the operatives, prompting them to shoot back which resulted in his death.
Operatives recovered five sachets of shabu with estimated street value of P34,000 and several sachets of dried marijuana leaves from Sunga’s residence.
SOCO team also recovered one cal. 38 revolver without serial number loaded with three fired cartridge cases and a sling bag containing 10 sachets of shabu.
