Quezon City Police District probes couple’s death

QUEZON City Police District director Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel yesterday ordered an investigation into the killing of a couple and the wounding of their three sons in their house Monday night.

Jonathan Manuel, 37, and his wife Jenalyn, 38, of Lanzones and Langka Street, in Bgy. Payatas, died from multiple gunshot wounds in the body. Their children aged 14, 8 and 6 sustained injuries. Two of the children suffered gunshot wounds in the lower extremities, while the third one was  injured  in the body by  shattered glass.

Esquivel ordered Batasan Police Station (PS 6) commander Lt. Col. Joel Villanueva to exert all efforts to identify and arrest the suspect who barged inside the victims’ house and shot  them.

Report said the shooting rampage happened at around 8:45 p.m.

Esquivel said he wanted to know the motive for  the killing.

Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team led by PCPT Jose Bonifacio recovered at the crime scene five cartridge cases, three deformed fired bullets and one fired bullet.
