THE Quiapo Church has announced a planned alternative to the 2021 Traslacion.
Fr. Douglas Badong, parochial vicar of Quiapo Church, said this includes the plan to bring the image of the Black Nazarene to the church balcony so that devotees may get a glimpse of it.
This will be done for the whole month of December where the devotees can see but not touch the image.
For those who cannot go to Quiapo, there is a plan to bring the Black Nazarene to the North and South of Manila.
“From Batangas pabalik ng Quiapo, from Pangasinan pabalik ng Quiapo. May tatlong imahen po ang iikot sa iba’t-ibang lugar para maranasan man lang nila kahit isang araw ang novena dito sa Quiapo,”ani Badong.
Quiapo Church rector Monsignor Hernando Coronel said the schedule of masses will also be adjusted.
The yearly ‘Pahalik’ and Traslacion which highlight the celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene, had been cancelled due to the pandemic.
