A ROBBERY holdup suspect who stabbed a tricycle driver before divesting his passengers of cash money was beaten black and blue by angry mob who chased him Friday evening in Caloocan city.
Carlo Alejandro, 20, of 3042 Dagupan Ext. Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila was positively identified by the victims as the one who robbed them of their money amounting to P1,200 while riding on a tricycle on their way home at around 8:55 p.m. along Int. 5, A. Mabini St Bgy. 33.
Initial report received by Caloocan police chief P/Col. Noel Flores showed that while the tricycle, driven by Jhun Patrick Malia, 20 of Dagupan Ext. Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila was slowly travelling in a crowded area along Mabini St., the suspect suddenly appeared and stabbed the driven in the body before divesting the two passengers of their money.
The suspect immediately escaped but angry mob who witnessed the incident chased and beat him after he was cornered along A. Mabini St.
Malia was rushed by concerned citizens to Caloocan City Medical Center for treatment of stab wound in the body while responding policemen brought the suspect to the same hospital for medical attention before he was turned over to the Caloocan Police Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB) for proper disposition.
