SC OKs use of 3 buses for medical workers

March 19, 2020

Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta has authorized the use of Supreme Court shuttle buses to provide transport services to health workers in the National Capital Region.

This was in response to the enhanced community quarantine currently in effect due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

In a press statement, the SC Public Information Office said three SC shuttle buses are now temporarily under the supervision and control of the Department of Transportation-Land Transportation Office.

The SC bus drivers assigned to man the respective buses will be receiving their instructions from Atty. Clarence Guinto LTO-NCR Regional Director.

President Duterte placed the entire Luzon including Metro Manila under the enhanced community quarantine.

A memorandum from Malacañang on the enhanced quarantine guides government agencies to ensure the following:

Prohibition of mass gatherings and imposition of strict home quarantine among all households;

Work-from-home arrangement for the executive branch;

Only essential establishments are to remain open.
