MORE or less three kilos of shabu and 41 grams of high grade marijuana leaves were seized by authorities from 12 suspected drug personalities, including two minors, in a buy-bust operation Wednesday afternoon in Taguig City.

In his report to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief P/MGen. Debold Sinas, Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/Brig. Gen. The operation, according to Peralta, stemmed from a tip received by Taguig police chief P/Col. Celso Rodriguez from a confidential informant about illegal drug activities inside Tinga’s house.

A validation and surveillance was conducted by Taguig police intelligence operatives and after yielding positive and confirmatory results, a buy-bust operation was conducted that resulted to the arrest of Tinga.

When elements of SDEU swooped down on Tinga’s house, 11 suspected drug individuals, identified as Tom Jovy Cruz, 30, Elmer Bautista, 34, Winston Ray Lopez, 20, Jessie Aviles, 24, Jomari Lopez, 19, Chris Klein Lopena, 19, Adrian Dela Cruz, 22, John Paul Esteban, 26, John Christian Roxas, 24 and two teenage boys aged 17, were found inside.

Apart from 30 pieces of knot tied large size transparent plastic bags containing three kilos of shabu and 27 heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of kush, police also seized several pieces of drug paraphernalia from the arrested suspects, including three digital weighing scale, two mobile phones, P8,000 cash drug money, and P200 with dusting powder used in the buy-bust.
