JOINT operatives of different units of Southern Police District (SPD) arrested a total of 150 persons, recovery of 347.97 grams of shabu, 1,936.11 grams of dried marijuana, 41 different types of firearms and five bladed weapons within two days of simultaneous police operation yesterday and Friday in southern areas of Metro Manila.
In his report to P/Director Guillermo Eleazar, head of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), SPD Acting Director Sr. Supt. Eliseo Cruz said the simultaneous police operation aimed to step up their efforts in the campaign against drug personalities, most wanted persons and all forms of criminality, focusing on quality outputs over quantity.
Operatives also focused in serving the warrant of arrest to wanted persons who were involved in different criminal activities while conducting buy-bust operations against suspected drug pushers and arresting those found maintaining drug dens of using illegal drugs.
Sr. Supt. Cruz said the conduct of district-wide simultaneous police operations seemingly gained a positive result which is projected to favorably contribute to the decline of crimes within their areas of responsibility.
He added that this initiative is another example of how the PNP and its personnel maximize their potential and exerts all efforts to reduce, if not totally stop criminality Metro Manila area.
