Student resists robbery, stabbed by robbers

A 16-year-old student was injured when she fought with motorcycle–riding suspects during a robbery Sunday night in Pasig City.

Pasig Police chief Senior Supt. Rizalito Gapas said the victim, a resident of No. 39 Catalina Subd., in Bgy. Rosario, Pasig City, sustained four stab wounds in the leg and arm.

Gapas said the  victim and her 15-year-old friend were walking home when the unidentified suspects on board a motorcycle suddenly blocked their path on Westbank Road, Floodway, Gate 1, in Bgy Rosario, at around 11:15 p.m. and held them up at knife point.

However, the victim resisted the robbery prompting the suspects to stab her.

The wounded victim and her friend went to the nearest barangay hall and Police Community Precinct (PCP-6) for  assistance from the authorities who conducted a follow-up operation that led to the arrest of one of the suspects, a 16-year-old student.
