THE Manila Police District-Homicide Section announced the arrest of the suspect in the killing of two brothers in Tondo, Manila hours before the New Year’s eve.
Nabbed in Cavite City and turned over to the MPD-Station 1 was suspect Randy Panday, 42, a garbage collector and resident of Building 33, Unit 39, Aroma Compound, Tondo, Manila. He was made to undergo inquest proceedings at the Manila Prosecutor’s Office for two counts of murder, frustrated murder and illegal possession of firearms.
Panday was tagged as the one who shot dead brothers Ariel Leguin, 22, of Building 33, Temporary Housing and Angelo, 24, of Bldg. 31, Temporary Housing. Wounded in the incident was Ryan Celebran, 31, a driver, of Bldg. 33 Extension, Temporary Housing.
Police said they received information regarding the suspect’s location so that a team went to Phase 18, GMA, Bulihan, Silang, Cavite on January 2 and had the suspect arrested at around 2 a.m. while he was watching television.
It was learned that the suspect was caught by surprise but ready to fight as in fact he had a gun tucked in his waist while merely watching television.
Panday shot dead the Leguins at around 6 p.m. on December 31 following an argument. Celebran was a mere witness.
