AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency yesterday afternoon arrested a 19-year-old teenager in Quezon City after he sold half-a-kilo of shabu worth P3.4 million to an undercover officer, PDEA chair Director General Aaron N. Aquino said.

According to the official, members of the PDEA National Capital Region headed by Director Joel Plaza placed suspect Omar Ampaso Sultan, a resident of Abris Street in Barangay Commonwealth, Q.C. under arrest shortly after he handed a plastic packet containing 500 grams of the “poor man’s cocaine” to a poseur on Sto. Niño Street in Bgy. Holy Spirit.

Also confiscated from the young suspect’s possession was the marked money paid to him by the undercover agent and a mobile phone he used in making the illegal drug transaction.

Aquino said that the suspect is now being investigated at the PDEA-NCR headquarters in Q.C. He is facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, the official said.
