A young man who was suffering from dysarthria or difficulty of speaking was arrested after he was accused of molesting a four-year-old girl Tuesday afternoon in Valenzuela City
Valenzuela police chief P/Col. David Nicolas Poklay said Leonard Labonete Jayoma, 18, of 191 Libis, Canumay East was charged with statutory rape before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor’s Office following a complaint lodged against him by parents of the victim.
Investigation conducted by Valenzuela Police Women and Children’s Protection Desk (WCPD) showed that at around 12:45 p.m., relatives of the victim saw the girl crying and running out of the comfort room located at the compound of their house in D. Bonifacio St. without underwear.
The girl ran towards her 45-year-old aunt Cristina who noticed something sticky at her butt which led to her suspicion that she was sexually molested.
Victim’s aunt immediately went inside the comfort room where she found the short pants of her niece which also had some seminal stains on it.
Cristina and her cousin Teodora, after examining the genital of their niece, immediately sought the help of their neighbors who told them that the last person they saw with the victim was Jayoma who saw them running away from the compound.
