Tiff over drugs leads to arrest

POLICE arrested a woman and a 14-year-old girl who were allegedly involved in illegal drugs following their heated altercation Friday evening in Caloocan City.

Elements of Caloocan Police Special Operation Unit (SOU) led by P/Capt. Jervies Soriano arrested Lyca Castillo, 20, and a 14-year-old minor at around 9:30 p.m. after they quarreled allegedly over double dealing in drugs at DM Compound, Brgy. 73, Heroes Del 96 Street.

When frisked, the two yielded a total of four plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu. The policemen placed them under arrest and turned them over to Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU).

Earlier at around 6:30 p.m., elements of Caloocan Police Community Precinct (PCP) 7 arrested Ricky Laroya, 40, construction worker, after he created trouble by calling for a fight while armed with two bolos at 482 Tullahan Road, Manotoc Compound, Brgy. 162.

The suspect was allegedly under the influence of illegal drugs when he went outside his house armed with two bladed weapons and challenged anyone  to a fight.

Responding policemen who accosted him recovered two bolos, a plastic sachet of shabu and several drug paraphernalia.
