Train drags pedestrian

AN unidentified pedestrian died after being hit by a Philippine National Railways (PNR) train Tuesday evening in Taguig City.

The victim, described as about 40 to 45 years old, shirtless and wearing only blue denim pants died on the spot from massive head and body injuries when hit and dragged by the commuter train with body number MCE-1907.

A report submitted by Taguig traffic police investigator to Senior Supt. Alexander Santos, the city chief of police said the incident happened at around 8:20 p.m. at the PNR Site, Bgy. Tanyag.

The victim allegedly failed to notice the approaching northbound train when he crossed the rail tracks.

Police said the PNR management relayed to them that once the victim is identified, they are ready to provide financial assistance to his family.
