A tricycle driver died after the motorcyle he was driving rammed into a tree after he lost control of the vehicle in Marikina City yesterday morning.
Reports gathered at the Eastern Police District (EPD) showed the victim was identified as Lloyd Somido, 19, was traveling from west to east direction of B.G. Molina Street at around 4:30 a.m. on board a Suzuki motorcycle.
Somido was only a few meters away from the corner of Paraiso Street in Barangay Parang when he lost control of the motorcycle and collided to a tree at the south side portion of the road.
Due to the force of impact, parts of the motorcycle were detached and or broken.
Somido sustained multiple injuries on different parts of his body.
He was brought to Saint Vincent Hospital by rescue team but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
