A 59-YEAR-OLD union leader was killed while his four-year-old daughter is now under observation after they were shot by still unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects the other night in Tondo, Manila.
PSSg Niño Baladjay of the Manila Police District-homicide section said the victim, Leonardo Escala, of Mel Lopez Boulevard, Tondo died on the spot while his daughter, who was then playing, was hit in the buttocks.
The incident reportedly occurred at around 7:20 p.m. while the victim and his son were outside their home.
The two male suspects sped toward an unknown direction after firing at the victims.
Police are looking into the motive of the killing or if it was related to the victim’s union activities.
The body was brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy.Publication Source : People's Tonight
