His aunt, Isabel Ocliasa, announced on social media that victim Marko de Guzman, 20, a mechanical engineering student at the UST, has already passed away.

Now, he (Marko) is free of the pain. He sees his family strong and vowing to take care of his Nanay Belot, sister Erika, and Ninang Lourdes while he’s away,’ Ocliasa stated in her post.

It will be recalled that the accident took place at around 4 a.m. of the said date, at the corner of Taft Avenue and United Nations Avenue in Ermita.

The victim was with his friend when the Grab car driver, who was reportedly sleepy, hit a scaffolding and then hit an LRT post.
