A WIFE reportedly killed herself and then her husband the other day inside a vehicle in Quiapo, Manila.
Ellaine Timola died on the spot due to a gunshot wound in the head while her husband who remains under observation in a hospital also due to a lone bullet wound in the head was identified as Alex Timola. Both are 32 and residing at 942 Interior 17, Bilibid Viejo Street, Quiapo, Manila.
P/SSg Roderick Magpale of the Crimes Against Persons Investigation Section (CAPIS) of the Manila Police District (MPD), said that the incident took place at around 5:30 p.m. in front of the YMCC Building on Bilibid Viejo Street, Quiapo.
Residents told the police that they heard successive shots and traced the sound to have come from a parked red Mitsubishi Mirage with plate number NBY-2826, where the couple were in at that time.
When a check was made by 31-year-old security guard Michael Apellido of the YMCC Building, he was surprised to see the bloodied couple inside, so he rushed to seek help from barangay tanods of Barangay 391, Zone 40.
When the car was opened, Ellaine was found already dead on the passenger seat while Alex was seated on the driver’s side. Both were brought to the hospital.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) said the woman was holding a .38 cal. gun, raising the possibility that she shot her husband first before she shot herself.
Police said that based on initial investigation, the couple had just come from the barangay hall and were discussing financial problems.
