A 45-YEAR-OLD woman was killed by a lone, unidentified gunman who shot her in the head at close range in Tondo, Manila the other night.
Rizalina Ortile, of 1012-I Hermosa St., Tondo, died on the spot while the suspect escaped.
Inspector Glenzor Vallejo of the Manila Police District-Crimes Against Persons Investigation Section (MPD-CAPIS) said that the incident took place at around 7p.m. near the railroad tracks in Barangay 184, Tondo.
Witness Arnold Turla, 41, told the police he was walking when he heaerd two gunshots. When he checked where the shots came from, he saw the victim sprawled on a pool of her own blood.
He sought help and had the victim brought to the nearest hospital to no avail.
Meanwhile, a rider was killed Monday evening in Taguig City.
Taguig police chief Sr. Supt. Alexander Santos said Aries Francisco, 32 of Block 15 Lot 33, Sumasapit St. Pulong Kendi succumbed to bullet wounds in the head and body while being rushed by his relatives to Cruz Rabe Medical Hospital.
