Women drug peddlers arrested

TWO Muslim women on Saturday night  were arrested by Manila Police District -Station 4 operatives for selling shabu  in Sampaloc, Manila.

Norlaine Lawansa, 28, a vendor, and Roshela Mijorada, 25, a sales clerk, both of Quiapo, Manila, were arrested at the corner of Recto Avenue and N. Reyes Street in Sampaloc, Manila, at around 6 p.m. based on information given by a tipster.

Supt. Robert Domingo, station commander of the MPD-Station 4, said the suspects had long been under surveillance for illegal drug activities

Seized from the suspects were two plastic sachets containing 75 grams of shabu.

The two were charged with violation of Section 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Manila Prosecutors’ Office.
