Worker wounded as scaffolding collapses

A construction worker was critically wounded when the scaffolding he was using to install metal paring collapsed Tuesday afternoon in Malabon City.

Dino Bazar, 38, of 3411 C. Arellano St., Bacood, Sta. Mesa, Manila, was rushed by his co-workers to Tondo Medical Center where he was placed under observation.

In a report received by Malabon police chief Senior Supt. Jessie Tamayao, the victim was installing a metal paring inside Fisher Mall while being guided by Elchie Binetez, 29, when the scaffolding he was using suddenly collapsed and fell to the ground at 3 p.m.

The newly-constructed Fisher Mall at the corner of C-4 Road and Dagat-Dagatan Avenue in Bgy. Longos owned by Ray del Rosario of  Mallers Management Corp. was scheduled for soft opening today with a grand opening next year.
