P81M shabu seized, 2 dealers killed in Taguig shootout

A PHILIPPINE National Police Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG)-led anti-narcotics operation in Taguig City on Friday evening ended up in a shootout which led in the killing of two suspected top shabu traffickers in the country and the recovery of over P81 million worth of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine,’ a report to PNP chief, General Archie Francisco F. Gamboa said.

Mass testing of BPO employees proposed

AMID reports of COVID positive cases in a number of BPO companies, the BPO Industry Employees Network (BIEN) called for mass testing via RT-PCR, quarantine facility for workers, and establishment of occupational safety and health (OSH) committees as crucial in protecting workers and communities from COVID-19.

Isko: No lockdowns for now

This was clarified by Mayor Isko Moreno, as rumors swirled since the other day, regarding alleged planned lockdowns in certain areas in the city, apparently prompted by  the second wave of the distribution of the CACAF (city amelioration crisis assistance fund) amounting to P1,000, to each of the more than 680,000 families residing in Manila.
