TEAM Pirata, Team Majestic, Team Cebu and Team Niño bagged the much coveted titles in their respective categories in the recently concluded Pioneer Epoxy National Bangkarera in Cebu.
The fourth installment of National Bangkarera was held last June 1,2 and 3, 2019 at the Boardwalk of Naga City.
Team Pirata won in the 16 horsepower category at the expense of Team Pechanga and Team Pirata Powerslide who finished second and third, respectively.
Team Majestic from Bacolod City clinched the title in the seven-horsepower category.
Team Cebu ruled the Angat sa Dagat category over Team Tarsiers of Bohol and Team Pantera of Danao.
Meanwhile, Team Niño was victorious in the Paddle Boat (Mixed Doubles) category over Team Island Buzz Philippines and Team Overtime.
The biggest boat racing event in the Philippines aims to promote camaraderie among fisherfolk, boat racing aficionados and the community.
John W. Spakowski II, chairman and CEO of Pioneer Adhesives Inc., said Pioneer Epoxy has been supplying quality adhesives to the tradesmen and craftsmen of this country with successful results.
“Whether you are a bangkero, a bantay, a carpenter, a mason, a latero, we have products that have helped tradesmen do their craft. These boys and women are also the backbones of this country. They are the nation builders and we are proud to be a part of that because we provide them with the products, to do excellent jobs. The advocacy on top of that, we wanted to highlight this important craft of laking and fishing. We want to show the Filipino people that these are some of our bayanis. These guys and we care about them so much that we want them to be known,” Spakowski added.
The 4th national bangkarera had a large turnout with about 6,500 people who went to Naga City to watch the highly anticipated event.
