AFTER numerous calls for help from citizens received by his office, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go’s team distributed aid to 150 individuals in Brgy. Merville, Paranaque City to help them cope with the current COVID-19 pandemic.

His team provided meals, food packs, masks and face shield to beneficiaries.

Meron din akong ipinadalang mga mask at face shield,” Go told the beneficiaries in a virtual message.

Ingat lang tayo parati,” he reminded them.

Selected students also received tablets from the senator’s team to help them participate in their blended learning.

Go reminded the students to study hard as a way to show gratitude for their parents’ hard work and sacrifices.

Go also gave away bicycles to the most needy beneficiaries identified by their barangay officials citing that these will help them in their daily commute to work.

Representatives of the Department of Social Welfare and Development were also present during the aid distribution as the agency provided additional assistance to the residents.

Sen. Go also distributed aid to over 200 beneficiaries in General Isidro Torres Memorial Elementary School in Malolos City.

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to threaten the lives of many Filipinos, Go assured the residents that once the vaccine for the disease becomes available, the poor and the vulnerable will get access and will be prioritized.

Go advised the general public to continue to follow health protocols imposed by the government to control the spread of COVID-19 in the country. He urged local officials to take care of their constituents and respond to their needs.
