THE Civil Service Commission (CSC) has conferred more than 400 new eligible local treasurers who passed the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE).
Some 475 takers passed the exams given last June 23. It represented 16.48% of the 2,882 examinees.
Topping the successful passers was Patrick Abinsay of Northern Mindanao who garnered a rating of 91.14.
According to the CSC, the Local Treasurer Eligibility (LTE), is a second level eligibility appropriate for appointment only to local treasurer and assistant local treasurer positions.
It is also a position under those in the financial services that do not involve practice of profession and are not covered by Bar, Board or special laws.
The conduct of the LTE is part of the Standardized Examination and Assessment for Local Treasury Service (SEAL) program being implemented by the Department of Finance.
