Mindanao Councilors League throws full support behind senatorial bet.

THE Philippine Councilors League-Mindanao (PCL-Mindanao) has expressed its full support for the senatorial bid of former Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General and now Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.

During the organization’s annual general assessment and Christmas party held at a private resort in the Island Garden City of Samal (IGaCoS), the Councilors League presidents from various municipalities and cities of Mindanao vowed to campaign for Dela Rosa.

Davao City Councilor Danilo Dayanghirang, PCL national chairman said his organization will push for the candidacy of people, such as Dela Rosa, who will push the development agenda of President Duterte.

Dela Rosa is a strong supporter of Duterte’s war against illegal drugs. He said that now is the best time to decisively address the illegal drug problem of the country for the sake of the nation’s children and the next generation.

He added that the fight against illegal drugs is for the future of this country and he would take the battle against common crimes and terrorism from the streets to the Senate and make sure that laws are in place to protect the Filipinos.

Topping his platform is public order and security. While this may not be in the headlines compared to inflation and rising prices of transportation, he said that ensuring that the people are safe is the bedrock of progress and win international respect.

He also vowed to imprison drug lords who use ex-prison inmates as their network outside the National Bilibid Prison.
