Dela Salle University denies destabilization role

THE Dela Salle University yesterday said it never participated in any subversive activities contrary to the allegation of Peter Joemel Advincula alias “Bikoy” during his appearance in Camp Crame yesterday.

Donna Patricia Manio, head of the DLSU Media and Public Relations-Office for Strategic Communications, said that no such meeting as alleged by Advincula ever took place inside the DLSU campus.  Advincula has alleged that the ‘Bikoy’ videos were hatched during a series of meetings with personalities from the camp opposed to the Duterte administration held inside two universities in Manila, DLSU and Ateneo.

The DLSU said any such activity will not be allowed inside the campus as this runs counter to their student handbook and employees manual.

“It has come to our attention that De La Salle University was mentioned by a certain Peter Joemel ‘Bikoy’ Advincula as one of the meeting venues for alleged destabilization plots against the government. The University would like to clarify that no such meetings took place inside the campus,” Manio said.

She also appealed to the public not to easily come out with accusations without solid evidence or based on unverified information.
