SENATOR Bong Go confirmed he and President Rodrigo Duterte will visit today the province of Cagayan to distribute assistance and assess the situatiion there and determine the needs of the people in the affected areas.
Go said all the resources of the government have been mobilized to respond to the call for help of the typhoon victims.
He added that rescue and response operations and distribution of aid are continuing in Cagayan and other places.
He also gave assurances that even his office staff is going around and doing fast relief work.
“After giving aid in Catanduanes they are certain now to be in Albay to respond to the needy folk there. We will also go to and give assistance in other parts of Bicol, southern Luzon, NCR and northern Luzon,” Go said.
“All I’m asking of our countrymen is let us continue to do bayanihan and cooperate with the government,” added the senator.
Senator Go stressed that the government is always watching, concerned and ready to help at any time.
“We will make sure that no one is left behind, we will not abandon you,” he said.
Currently the government’s focus is on rescue efforts in the belief that the life of every calamity-stricken Filipino is worth saving.
Which is why the President has made sure that all the assets of government are ready to respond to all cries for help, the senator said.
