Duterte no longer interested in fight – Inday Sara

AGE has mellowed President Rodrigo Duterte who is now ready to forgive his enemies except the New People’s Army (NPA) and  the terrorists.

This is according to presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, saying that President Duterte is now refusing to engage in any verbal tussle or fight with other people.

“Alam ninyo, ang aking ama si President Digong, matanda na. Dumating na sa punto na kalmado na siya. Dahil siguro sa kanyang edad at dahil sa kanyang narating sa buhay – naging President siya,” Mayor Duterte said in a campaign sortie in Camaguin.

“For the past two years, ang aking ama ay nagpapatawad na, pwera lang sa mga NPA at terorista,” she added.

The Hupong ng Pagbabago, which was formed by Mayor Sara together with political kingpins from Region 11, made the last campaign sortie in Camiguin.

Duterte lost in Camiguin to Mar Roxas because the Romualdos supported the Liberal Party candidate.

However, despite the loss, Duterte instructed Mayor Sara to return to Camiguin to look into the condition of the people.

“Pinili ko talagang i-huli ang Camiguin sa listahan. Bakit? Nagsabi si President Duterte sa akin: Balikan mo ‘yung Camiguin,” she said.

“Hindi man ako nakarating dito last year sa Catarman, Camiguin dahil nagkaroon ng problema sa schedule sa biyahe, pero simula ngayon kapag hiniling niyo na pumunta ako rito, ako’y paparito,” the HNP chairperson said.

The HNP is supporting 13 candidates — former MMDA chairman Francis Tolentino, former Special Assistant to the President Bong Go, reelectionists Sonny Angara, JV Ejercito, Cynthia Villar and Koko Pimentel; Taguig City Rep. Pia Cayetano; Maguindanao Rep. Dong Mangudadatu; Ilocos Gov. Imee Marcos; former police chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa; former journalist Jiggy Manicad; and formers Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and Jinggoy Estrada.
