Duterte promotes 2 new PNP Generals

PRESIDENT Duterte has approved the promotion to the star-rank of two senior Philippine National Police officials, one of them former PNP spokesman Ysmael S. Yu.

Yu and Harris R. Fama are set to take their oath of office as new Police Brigadier Generals before PNP chief, General Debold M. Sinas.

Yu, a member of Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992 was designated as PNP spokesperson and head of the PNP Public Information Office by former PNP chief, now retired Gen. Camilo Pancratius P. Cascolan on September 2 last year.

After more than a 2-month stint, he was replaced by Brig. Gen. Ildebrandi N. Usana as PNP spokesperson and was designated by Gen. Sinas as the new Police Regional Office 4-A Deputy Regional Director for Administration in Calabarzon region last November.

Fama, a member of PNP Academy Class 1991 is currently the Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Police-Community Relations. He also used to be assigned with the PNP-PIO.
