ON its 40th year, the Jesus Is Lord (JIL) founder Bro. Eduardo “Eddie” Villanueva received commendation from the House of Representatives.
Members of the House adopted House Resolution 2226 which congratulates Villanueva on his successful and effective stewardship of the Jesus Is Lord Church Worldwide (JIL Church), leading the church to its 40th anniversary last October 27, 2018.
The JIL Church is an international Christian movement founded in 1978, which started with a school outreach ministry with 15 students from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). It has already established churches in more than 50 countries in six continents around the world.
Authored by Majority Leader Rolando Andaya Jr., the resolution seeks to laud Villanueva, the founder of JIL Church, “for continuously being the guiding light and inspiration for many Filipinos through his words and actions.”
Andaya said that Villanueva, a former communist-atheist who became one of the most powerful preachers of God’s Word in the world today, has been a very passionate leader who sparked fire in the hearts of many Filipinos to fight for truth, equality, justice, and love for the country.
