THE operations of Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region- West, except the LTO-Law Enforcement Section, have been temporarily suspended, a ranking official of the agency reported yesterday.
Lawyer Clarence V. Guinto, Director of LTO-NCR-West and concurrent director of LTO-LES , said the operations were ordered stopped March 29-April 4, 2021.
Guinto issued the confirmation after Transportation Assistant Secretary and LTO chief Edgar Galvante approved the temporary suspension of LTO NCR-West operations to give way to the disinfection of all the regional offices and all district offices and in the observance of Holy Week.
Guinto said the 250 personnel of LTO-LES based at the central office and LES-NCR-West as well as 100 enforcers from LTO-Region 3 and Region 4-A will continue to serve and assists the riding public 24/7.
“Yung NCR-LES-West enforcers both male and female enforcers ay supervised ng kanilang chief Hanz Lim, para siguradong maayos ang kanilang deployment,” said Guinto.
LTO in-house physician, Dr. Joel Bascos has ensured that each enforcer is physically fit, said Guinto.
Among the offices which will temporarily stop operations are NCR West Regional Office, Manila Licensing Center, Manila North District Office, Manila South District Office, Manila East District Office, Manila West District Office, Pasay City Licensing Center, Pasay District Office, Public Utility Vehicle Registration Extension Office, Pasay City, South Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, Muntinlupa District Office, Las Piñas District Office, Las Piñas Licensing Extension Office, Makati District Office, Parañaque District Office, Malabon District Office, Navotas Extension Office, Kalookan Licensing Extension Office, Caloocan District Office, Driver’s License Renewal Office (DLRO) Ayala MRT, DLRO Guadalupe, DLRO Robinsons Manila, DLRO Lucky Chinatown, DLRO Robinsons Las Pinas, DLRO SM Manila, DLRO Araneta Square Mall, DLRO Metro Point, DLRO Alabang Town Center, DLRO SM Mall of Asia.
