SEVERAL organized groups representing various sectors in Makati have come forward and endorsed Mayor Abby Binay and her entire Team Performance slate, declaring their full support in the upcoming elections.

Other endorsers of Team Performance include 100 percent of the JODA membership of the United Transport Federation of Makati (UTFM) and 62 out of 65 TODA members of the Makati Tricycle Federation (MATRIFED) from the public transport sector, vendors associations, homeowners associations, LGBT community, senior citizens councils, and women’s groups.

“On behalf of the whole Team Performance, I convey our heartfelt gratitude to all the organized groups that have chosen to join us in our mission of completing the transformation of Makati into a smart city,” she enthused.
UTFM president Nerio Duka said Mayor Abby earned the support of majority of the public transport sector because of the many initiatives undertaken by the city government that demonstrated its genuine concern for their welfare.
Through initiatives like regular meetings with city officials, free seminars and trainings, city-sponsored events and activities, the city government showed them that they mattered, he added.
Leaders from the vendors’ sector also shared positive gains they have experienced under the administration of Mayor Abby.
Efren Nadado, president of the Makati Talipapa and Vendors Group (MTVG) in District 1, thanked the present administration for making it possible for them to sell in a spacious, clean and presentable area through proper guidance and discipline.
Naging maluwag, malinis at maayos,” Nadado said.
