THE National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) was awarded by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) with a certificate of compliance for upholding the Freedom of Information (FOI) and being transparent with all its transactions and projects.
In the award given by PCOO chief Martin Andanar, the NPDC under the leadership of executive director Penelope Belmonte, was commended for being fully compliant with the FOI 2018 requirements set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance, Monitoring, Information and Reporting Systems (Task Force Administrative Order (AO) 25 series 2011).
“We are just complying with the order of President Duterte to be totally transparent specially when it comes to disbursement of government funds,” Belmonte said.
Belmonte thanked Andanar for recognizing the efforts of the NPDC in maintaining the highest standards of governance, beginning with transparency in all its transactions and making them accessible for public scrutiny at all times.
Belmonte also invited the public to visit the projects and major improvements by the NPDC to give the parkgoers the ultimate experience when visiting Rizal Park.
“Everything that the public wants to know about NPDC is easily accessible with just one click,” she said.
