Ninoy Aquino International Airport hires 28 new Customs police

BUREAU of Customs at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) has deployed 28 newly-hired Customs police in all terminals.

According to BoC-NAIA District Collector Mimel Talusan, the move is to strengthen its manpower in protecting  the borders against smuggling attempts and entry of illicit goods and protect the stakeholders from unscrupulous individuals as part of their responsibility as Enforcement and Security Services (ESS) personnel.

The newly-hired ESS personnel were given briefing by Talusan on profiling techniques, their role in revenue mandate of BoC, reforms of Customs Port of NAIA and the 10-point priority program of Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero.

Talusan stressed that all newly-hired Customs Police will also undergo  advance marksmanship pistol trainings and continuous border protection seminars.
