No incidents in nation’s jails during Holy Week -- Bureau of Jail Management and Penology

April 21, 2019

THE Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) yesterday announced that no untoward jail incidents happened during the Holy Week.

According to Jail Officer-in-Charge Chief Supt. Allan Iral, he attributed this to team effort that resulted in a no-violence and no-escape holiday break.

Aside from the personnel and gate officers who secured the facilities, Iral also commended the teams, led by key officials from the national headquarters including the regional directors, who skipped the holidays to inspect jails all throughout the country and monitor the situations of persons deprived of liberty (PDL).
