THE Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) seized more than 500 grams of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride or better known as shabu in two separate parcels at the LBC warehouse inside the general aviation area, Domestic Rd. NAIA-customs district collector MimelTalusan yesterday said the group discovered the first parcel containing some 300 grams of shabu placed in 2 containers declared as “chocolate with chips” valued at P2,040,000.
The 300 grams was about to be delivered to Regent Arcade Building in Iloilo and was sent by a certain Glen Ong of San Perdo, Laguna.

Authorities said the more than 500 grams of shabu was discovered through random baggage profiling, K-9 sweeping and X-ray.
BoC said that the turnover of the seized drugs was delayed because of the unavailability of the person in-charge of the turnover and the pandemic crisis the country is facing.
The pieces of evidence were marked, inventoried and photographed in the presence of Brgy. Kagawad Nelson B. Garcia of Brgy 197, Zone 20, Pasay City, Media Representative Antonino S. Gildo of DZME, and ACP Erano Prado of Pasay City.
