PCSO donates 45 ambulance units to gov’t hospitals, facilities

A TOTAL of 45 new ambulance units were turned ober yesterday by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office ( PCSO) to government hospitals and facilities nationwide to help enhance the delivery of emergency health services to the public.

PCSO General Manager Royina M.Garma led the ceremonial turnover rites of the said ambulance units in a simple ceremony held at the Philippine National Police ( PNP) headquarters in Camp Crame.

Also present during the ceremony were PCSO Chairperaon Anselmo Simeon P.Pinili, PMGen. Guillermo Lorenzo T.Eleazar,Acting Chief of PNP DirectorStaff, Dr. Gerardo M. Aquino Jr., Medical Center Chief II of the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center, and BGen Eriel M. Niembra, Commander of Presidential Security Group.

The keys of the 45 brand-new Nissan NV350 Urban type-2 advance life support ambulance units were given to representative of government hospitals and facilities.

“The PCSO has always been a firm advocate of efficient health services to the Filipino people, especially those who have little resources to spend for their medical and health care. We will never waver from this commitment as we reaffirm our dedication in providing free but quality assistance to the public,” GM Garma said.  

In line with this, GM Garma assured the PCSO’s accessibility for families and individuals who require medical and social assistance from the government.
