THE Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office lost about P250 million after its shutdown for four days.
”We lost P250 million Lotto revenue since our operations were stopped. That figure is only Lotto, the other games are not included,” Royina Garma, PCSO chairman, said during the press conference of PCSO on Wednesday, following the lifting of the suspension of PCSO’s Lotto operations.
Garma said Lotto generates an average revenue of P60 million per day.
Garma said that they asked President Duterte to bring back the Lotto because it is “transparent and clean”, and it is the most profitable game of the agency. She said there is nothing to change with the procedures and its system.
“The first one allowed was Lotto. This was after we studied everything about Lotto, and learned that it is very transparent, and there are safety nets placed in its process.’’
